Laparoscopic Total Gastric Bypass Surgery (GBP)

A procedure that markedly reduces the size of the stomach by over 90%, helping you feel full after ingesting only a small amount of food, reducing the amount of food intake in a meal, and creating a sense of satiety that lasts long. This surgery affects food absorption, where it decreases the absorption of complex carbohydrates and fatty compounds.

What will you benefit from this procedure?

A marked weight loss of about 60-80% of excess weight in the first 1-2 years, giving better results than that of medical and dietary therapy.

Dramatic reduction of co-morbid conditions essential hypertension, type II diabetes, obstructive insomnia, difficult breathing, high blood pressure, etc.

Laparoscopic Mini Gastric Bypass (MGB)

The latest weight-loss surgical procedure. Achieving the same results of the GBP but with an easier surgical procedure, low risk of complications and good sustained weight loss. Reduces the size of stomach; thus decreasing the amount of food intake, and affects food absorption (just like the GBP). Moreover, it helps in creating a hormonal balance within the digestive system. Easily reversible.

Laparoscopic Gastric Plication Surgery

The least expensive weight-loss surgical procedure. Totally reversible. Decreases the capacity of the stomach by 70-80% (thus it reduces the amount of food intake in a meal). Does not affect food absorption. Does not require cutting or stapling of the stomach (thus fewer complications). Does not require any settings, monitoring or foreign body implants as in Gastric Banding. Weight loss outcomes are comparable to the results of VSG and GBP.

Laparoscopic Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (LSG)

This type of operations is irreversible, where stomach is permanently reduced in size to about 25% of its original size. This operation is technically easier than GBP, having less complications and almost the same outcome of GBP (in terms of weight loss and glucose homeostasis). Post operative weight loss of about 30 to 50% of the excess weight in the first year, reaching up to most of the excess weight in case the patient commits to a dietary and exercise programs. The patient may not require adjuvant vitamins or calcium for long periods. The patient remains in the hospital for 3 days.

Laparoscopic Swedish Adjustable Gastric Band (SAGB)

This operation works on reducing the amount of food ingestion without any change in stomach anatomy or food absorption process. It gives feeling of fullness shortly after eating which lasts for a long time in spite of eating a little amount of food. It requires no cutting or stapling of the stomach. (thus easier with less complications). Shorter time in operation room, quick recovery and a shorter hospital stay. Adjustable without any additional operations. Completely reversible by removing the band at any time by a small laparoscopic surgical procedure. Post operative use of vitamins and minerals supplements is not required. Post operative weight loss of about 40% of the excess weight in the first 1-2 years, depending mainly on the patient’s compliance to postoperative dietary guidelines.

The answer is there… just one call away!
